POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Supply Planner owns inbound supply planning for an assigned product category, ensuring Sunrun's distribution centers are stocked to meet installation and service requirements. This role translates demand forecasts into supplier purchase requirements, manages supplier capacity and delivery commitments, and optimizes inventory levels across the network. The Senior Supply Planner leverages advanced analytics and SQL to provide visibility, mitigate risk, and drive supply planning improvements.

Supply Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain category-level supply plans in Oracle ERP/Planning tools, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and business priorities.
- Proactively manage supplier delivery schedules and capacity constraints to prevent shortages or delays.
- Use SQL and advanced Excel to analyze large datasets, build reporting dashboards, and identify supply risks and opportunities.
- Define, maintain, and refine planning parameters such as lead times, reorder points, and safety stock policies.
Inventory & Supplier Alignment
- Manage inventory availability at Sunrun's DCs, balancing service level targets with working capital and cost goals.
- Partner with Buyers and Sourcing to confirm supplier execution against POs, escalating when delivery commitments are at risk.
- Identify and mitigate excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory risk through proactive analysis, substitution strategies, and supplier collaboration.
Cross-Functional Engagement
- Collaborate with Demand Planners to incorporate forecast changes, NPIs, and end-of-life transitions into supply plans.
- Partner with Product and Sourcing teams to ensure suppliers are prepared for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and lifecycle transitions.
- Provide supply insights to Finance and Operations during S&OP, highlighting risks, opportunities, and mitigation options.
Continuous Improvement
- Improve supply planning processes and reporting to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Mentor Supply Planners by sharing best practices in analytics, supplier engagement, and planning discipline.
- Support initiatives that improve inbound visibility, planning automation, and supplier collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; APICS/CSCP certification a plus.
- 4-7 years of experience in inbound supply planning, procurement, or related supply chain role.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel modeling (pivot tables, scenario modeling, automation).
- Experience with ERP/Planning systems (Oracle Fusion preferred).
- Demonstrated success managing NPIs, supplier capacity, and E&O mitigation.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate supply data into actionable strategies.
- Effective communicator with proven ability to collaborate across sourcing, product, finance, and operations.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$95,519.97 to $127,359.96
