High School Dean of Students

We are New York City's top-performing and fastest-growing charter school network, and we are fundamentally reshaping public education. To ensure long-lasting change and a school model that will prepare current and future generations of children from all backgrounds with the subject mastery and skills to succeed in college and life, we have reconceived every aspect of school design, from elementary to high school. We now need a results-driven Dean of Students to join our High School of the Liberal Arts Team.

Reporting to the Principal, the Dean of Students will set the vision for scholar and parent culture, and manage others to achieve that vision.

Key responsibilities include:

School Culture. Setting a vision for 9th grade scholar culture and working with the principal and leadership team to execute.
Managing Advisors. Managing advisors to meet the school goals (homework completion, school culture, work habits, GPA). Observe scholars and teachers and work with principal and leadership team to diagnose gaps and set priorities for school as a whole.
Scholar Management. Work with the principal to plan and execute scholar management system by working with scholar(s) involved, parents, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Parent Conversations. Build relationships and meet with parents to plan for their scholar success.
