Business Intelligence Analyst, Training

We now need a results-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Ed Institute team responsible for network-wide trainings.

Working within our central Network office and reporting to the Director of Blended Learning, our Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for gathering large datasets related to in-person and digital professional development records, looking for trends of our adult learners to help develop a picture of the impact of our blended learning strategy, where improvements can be made to drive scholar outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

-Support project management for the phased testing, onboarding, implementation and launch of a learning record store (LRS) that will provide analytics on all learning records across the organization, and is a significant strategic endeavor;
-Evaluate weekly usage statistics from the new external site hosting our K-4 Literacy curriculum, via customer experience management software, flagging trends and proposing website enhancements, informed by the data;
-Leverage Google Analytics to track user statistics on the Ed Institute internal digital resource and curriculum library, and establish a rhythm of reporting those statistics, until the more sophisticated solution of an LRS is implemented;
-Collect, analyze and report on participant learning data ranging from dashboards that capture progress towards mastery as it relates to speech intelligence analytics, to feedback surveys collected from in-person training programming;
-Discover and learn about the various roles that exist across the organization, and ultimately work towards building specialist knowledge of particular roles and/or departments;
-Establish and maintain productive relationships with school and network-based teams, particularly the Technology Department, and learning software vendors.

The ideal candidate for this position must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, data/computer/information science or similar, as well as a high level of professionalism and organization. 

The ideal candidate must also demonstrate competency in the following areas:

-Learning Analytics. Demonstrated familiarity with generating and reporting learning analytics, LMS / LRS platforms, SCORM / xAPI tracking.
-Learning Event Data Management and Analysis. Must be able to analyze the data and articulate what data trends mean. Demonstrated experience with creation of evaluation tools, data analysis and reporting is preferred.
-Technical Skills: Must have experience using complex computer programs to mine data sources and look for trends.
-Time Management: Ability to efficiently meet deadlines working on large projects involving multiple data streams and deliverables.
-Passion for Learning. Proactively seeks development and external feedback to improve self and work products, and shares lessons-learned with colleagues.
-Problem Solving and Decision Making. Proactively identifies and assesses problems based on data trends, and utilizes available resources to implement and communicate efficient solutions, assess outcomes, and make necessary adjustments.
-Relationship Management. Employs a variety of interpersonal tools to build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders and achieve desired results.
-Systems Innovation. Evaluates systems continuously, seeks improvement, and shares innovations with the Network to strengthen overall organizational processes.
-Flexibility and Adaptability. Views unknown situations with a critical lens, and welcomes frequent change and ambiguity.
