Product Marketing Intern - Paid Internship

Course of Study

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a major in Marketing and Advertising or MBA with a concentration in Advertising


  • 1 year in length [37.5 hours per week during the summer; 25 hours per week during school year]
  • Internship to begin in May

  • Junior (or a Senior planning to pursue a Master's Degree in the fall)
  • Must be an active student for the entire length of internship
  • Curriculum and/or work experience portray a dedication to the pursuit of a marketing career
  • International students may require special work authorization to work a one-year internship. Speak with your International Students Office/Advisor at your institution before applying.

  • Strong written communications, presentation, and customer-service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
  • Ability to seamlessly navigate online search engines, social platforms, and understanding of digital advertising


Product Marketing: Assist in the coordination, research, and strategy development of bringing new cars and product to market. Duties include:
  • Coordinate and attend product marketing meetings with Executives, internal departments, agencies and vendors
  • Research competitive manufacturers and provide analysis as necessary
  • Develop marketing strategy and tactics by areas of responsibility within the marketing department as necessary
  • Help coordinate and facilitate weekly/monthly marketing team meetings
  • Responsible to research & maintain the overall marketing calendar of events across all marketing disciplines

Product Launch Planning: Work with parent company (NASI) to assist in planning & coordination of vehicle prototype requirements and timing

Job Description

This position will provide experience and exposure to the Marketing Communications Group at Subaru specifically in the area of Product Marketing. You will have exposure to daily departmental operations by supporting projects, participating in planning and executing meetings, and occasionally managing projects for various other Marketing Groups.
