The Foot & Ankle Strategic Sales Manager will report directly to their Business Unit's Strategic Sales Leader and be part of the Field Sales leadership team.
Main Focus Areas:
- Partner closely with the strategic sales leadership to execute strategy within F&A business unit, Biologics BUs
- Partner closely with F&A DOSs/RSMs/KAEs to execute Area/Regional sales strategy
- Work with KAE's to maximize GPO contract value by driving contract compliance at the regional and local level
- Building relationships with executive decision makers on area level
- Develop short and long term area sales growth strategy based on contract status
- Educate field and customers on contract opportunities
- Run lead or back up (teaching role) on Group/Regional contracting/conversion opportunities
- Assist in the development of and implementation of programs / processes / capital sales opportunities to drive sales growth
- Run lead for F&A team on cross divisional collaboration efforts
- Continuously assess relevant markets to identify business opportunities, as well as appropriate products and services
- Provide timeline, informative data that enables leadership to make effective pricing and programming decisions
- Develop and implement summary and exception reports to validate program performance; present results of programs to business unit leadership
- Partner with marketing to identify and develop custom solutions for key accounts and ensure alignment and synchronicity in execution the marketing strategy
- Work inside their BU with finance and marketing partners to establish acceptable pricing parameters for capital equipment, warranty, and base products (consumables/implants). Comprehensive pricing will include SKU level detail that includes List, Average Selling Price (ASP), Floor and acceptable sales volume levels that yield additional discounting.
- Continually educate their specific Portfolio Team leaders of trends, needed changes or updated pricing and contracting strategies
- Lead their BU's Area Pricing Exception Committee (PEC) process when a negotiation yields a pricing ask outside of the already established BU guidelines.
- Support business unit related project as assigned by business unit

Experience
- Minimum 8 years in medical device sales and/or contracting experience with historical success working cross-divisionally and collaboratively required
- Foot and Ankle and/or Biologics experience required
- Sales management experience preferred
- Contracting experience preferred
- Upper-level administrative and supply chain relationships, as well as prior experience with complex customers including regional collaboratives and specific IDNs.
Role Qualifications
- Must understand medical device markets, including disposable, capital products and implants
- Must have excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment to prioritize effectively
- Must be able to work with clinical and business personnel, both internal and external to Stryker
- Must be able to analyze and resolve issues using independent judgment
- Must be able to work well independently and without direct supervision
- Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines, and procedures and execute on strategy
- Must be able to communicate concisely telephonically text and via email
- Required proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Compensation
- $136,000 - $224,400 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
