Senior Project Manager, Product Transfer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Open to hiring this role as a 4 or 5 day week, preference of the candidate.

Job Flexibility:

Subject to agreement between the successful candidate and hiring manager, the role may have flexibility to be carried out on a part-time basis of 4 days per week.

This role is a hybrid position, based out of our Instruments sites in Carrigtwohill in Cork

Who we want:

This role is within the Product Transfer team. The role contributes to the delivery of high impact, cost transformative projects. The role will require the successful candidate to operate across a network of stakeholders from Sourcing, Operations and Divisional partners, therefore strong interpersonal skills and communication skills will be necessary.

What you will do:

Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. The Senior Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project's objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.

Lead PT implementation initiatives while tightly managing project spend on capital & expense budgets

Responsible for clear, objective and quantifiable measurement of Project/Programme progress (incl. PTQ, slippage, float, risk rating, financials etc.).

Work closely with Divisional and GQO Reps to drive successful project implementation. Actively engage with internal business partners to ensuring optimal outcomes for each project

Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources. Lead shared Campus resources and deploy in line with programme priorities.

Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaise with broader OI team on common PT issues and resolutions

Lead team in complex or difficult situations, removing obstacles, assigning appropriate resources and interacting with other functions to assist with issue resolution and streamlining of work process.

Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while following Project Management methodology in project execution

Provide high quality leadership of Project Resources. Generate an engaging and positive environment. The Project Manager will be measured against milestone delivery and People performance throughout the Project lifetime.

Provide coaching and mentoring to other Project Managers in the organization.

Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of project management procedures and practices within the organization.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills (Required):

Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with 6 or more years' experience in a technical and/or project management role

At least 4 year's experience managing projects in line with a recognized international project management standard.

Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks. Ability to understand complex inputs and to be able to distil critical information.

Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognise good ideas

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):

Demonstrated Project Management experience in Product Transfer and/or New Product Introduction in a regulated environment

Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry

Experience of process/ product validations, statistical methods, GD&T, Process mapping,

Continuous Improvement and Project / Process Improvement related experience
