This Senior Management Accountant role will be based at our Tullagreen site, reporting to the Finance Director and will be central to the sites oversight of costs, budgets and internal processes. This role will be heavily involved in business partnering, working with senior stakeholders across the site and providing usable insights and data for the business to use.

We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience working in management accounts within a manufacturing environment or similar.

Senior Management Accountant - Cork

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the site Finance and Operations team to manage the financial results, annual budget, projection cycles and cost roll for the plant, providing appropriate financial advice and support.
  • Partner with the local Management Accounting team and Shared Service centre to maintain an effective accounting control environment.
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the facility within the timelines set out and provide financial commentary and management of the process.
  • Working with the team, provide weekly financial updates to the Tullagreen Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide financial inputs as required for monthly business unit reviews
  • Support all cost-out initiatives across the plant
  • Support the preparation of strategic plans for the facility in partnership with the site leadership team.
  • Provide financial support to the local team leaders in the preparation of Capital Expenditure Requests for the facility. Review such CER's from a financial and commercial perspective
  • Ensure that adequate internal financial controls exist and are adhered to within the facility
  • Work closely with financial accounting team / HR to ensure that the financial accounts and payroll are prepared within the set timelines.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive process changes in the Finance area to ensure the provision of information to key business owners is more efficient

Education & Skills Required:

  • Third Level qualification or equivalent.
  • Qualified Professional Accounting qualification.
  • c. 5 years management accounting experience, ideally from within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of standard costing systems an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and proficient use of MS Excel.
  • Proven business partnering experience with stakeholders across all aspects of the business.
  • Be commercially aware and enjoy interacting with cross functional teams across an organization.
  • Self starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Cost management experience would be an advantage
