  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establishing and enforcing proper methods, policies and principles for accounting & controlling

Critical success factors / key deliverables:

Main responsibilities are but not limited to:

Controlling:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing and reporting of all financial information, including balance sheet reconciliation
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of OTC(Order to cash), PTP(Procure to Pay), RTR(Record to Report)
  • Manage DOA(Delegation of Authority) process and e-workflow system(NEXT)
  • Manage T&E processes including related policy, system (Concur), corporate card (AMEX) maintenance, User training, and exception monitoring
  • Manage and improve Hight Risk Payment process (operation & enhancement)
  • Partner with Hong Kong Finance Center and outsourced service provider (CapGemini) to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance workflows of the company
  • Respond to inquiries from Regional and Corporate Finance, Represent Korea in Regional discussions.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting (VAT, Corporate income tax, BEPS, APA, Customs)
  • Manage internal & external audit processes

Cash Management:

  • Manage cash-flow projections and hedging of foreign exchange risks
  • Ensure daily banking requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner

Business Partnering:

  • Develop and guide operational process for new business model/transactions
  • Lead/Manage projects (e.g., process improvement, system implementation and integration)
  • Support budget and forecasting activities as necessary

Team Management:

  • Provide training/coaching to each direct report to ensure technical & leadership capabilities
  • Establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor progress
  • Guide/support career development plan of direct reports

Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:

  • Strong understanding of USGAAP, K-GAAP, IFRS and Tax is required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years working in finance roles with increasing responsibilities and proven output
  • Professional Accounting Qualifications such as CPA, Chartered Accountant or MBA is preferred
  • Risk management and internal control experience
  • Strong English communication skills (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience in budgeting, business analytics and variance analysis is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Words and PowerPoint

  • Conduct annual performance reviews & bi-annually interim performance reviews
