What you will do-

As the Production Supervisor, you will set the vision for your team, considering the big picture, and leading in a solution-oriented way. You will lead in an encouraging and exciting demeanor, listening, and learning from your team, peers and internal customers. You will direct the development of employees engaged in manufacturing activities including training. You will maintain a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will manage a team of approximately 20 direct reports that will work in different roles in the following areas: shipping and receiving, technical repair and quality control. This is an onsite role. The employee must work 100% at the Stryker business site in San Jose, CA.

Additional duties will also include:

  • Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues
  • Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, safety and accuracy.
  • Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime
  • Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies
  • Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training
  • Assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by employees
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area
  • Occasional exposure to salesforce support

What you need-

  • Bachelors degree, required
  • 4 years of production or trasferable experience, required
  • Prior leadership experience "preferred"
  • Lean six sigma certifications "preferred"
  • Data analytic background "preferred"

$83,000 Min - $176,800 Max salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
