The IT Manager Supplier Relationship Management is responsible for managing third party supplier relationships, including establishing and managing master agreements with strategic suppliers, ensuring delivery of services to contracts, collaborating to determine and track success metrics, establishing engagement model between supplier and Stryker, managing escalations/disputes and governing strategic forums between suppliers and IT stakeholders. The goal of supplier relationship management is to ensure that suppliers meet or exceed enterprise expectations in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Focuses on Strategic Supplier Relationship Management aspects including adherence to process standards, service level management, engagement model and communications, escalations/dispute management and governance framework.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and IT with the goal of creating convergence between IT services and business needs.
- Governs Stryker and Suppliers in strategic oversight of service delivery, contract changes, innovations and issue escalation.
- Establishes and manages strategic forums and roadmap reviews
- Establishes and manages master agreements with strategic suppliers to ensure value of the supplier ecosystem.
- Assists Procurement in negotiating and managing contracts with Suppliers.
- Manages communications, between suppliers and IT ensuring the right level of engagement and messaging between parties. Successfully influence suppliers to adapt to meet expectations as needed.
- Manages escalation and arbitration of relationship and contractual issues, as required.
- Act as strategic advisor and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to establish, prioritize and track strategic sourcing requirements.
- Assists to establish common goals between key stakeholders and suppliers supporting IT's strategic roadmap.
Supplier Performance Management:
- Work with the IT Supplier Performance Management team to develop and implement a comprehensive supplier performance management framework, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Ensure suppliers are providing the information to track established KPIs, identify areas of improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and communicate feedback to suppliers, working collaboratively to address issues and develop action plans.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, business, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or related roles, with at least 8 years of progressive experience
- Strong knowledge of supplier performance management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Solid understanding of contract management, legal and regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to drive performance improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, anticipate future needs, and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
