This position drives core work for the Workplaces Practices team across the Asia Pacific region with a focus on Employee Relations and Employee Policies. This role is based in India and will work with teams across the 13 countries where Stryker has employees in the Asia Pacific region, along with the global Workplace Practices team.

What will you do: -

  • Develop and administer Workplace Practices team programs. Areas of focus may include, among other things, severance, and termination; reductions in force and restructuring; data privacy for employees; new hire paperwork and standards; absence and leaves; harassment and anti-discrimination; employee handbooks; drug or alcohol use; conflicts of interest; and employee union or representative requirements.
  • Support the design and implementation of HR policies and standards for the region.
  • Support and administer training to HR, managers and employees related to HR policies, practices, HR compliance and Employee Relations.
  • Responsible for updating and educating HR and managers on terms and key information in Employee Handbooks
  • Maintain and foster collaborative partnerships with business-based HR, COEs, compliance and legal teams.
  • Proactively build knowledge and awareness of employment laws and regulations in all countries, Stryker policies and procedures, and business trends.
  • Employee Relations support and administration, including low/medium risk investigation involvement and reporting.
  • Analysis of HR investigations, employee relations and other data trends to address and mitigate risk which drives our culture of Integrity.
  • Project support in Workplace Practices and Employee Relations initiatives.
  • Provide general advice on conditions of employment and application of HR policy.
  • Design and develop communication plans for key initiatives that will enable HR and all employees to access and utilize Workplace Practices and Employee Relations resources.

What you need: -

  • Overall, 8-10 years of exp as HR-generalist in an MNC.
  • Min 3-5 years of relevant experience in employee relations and workplace practices.
  • Someone who has experience and interest in developing their career in Employee Relations.
  • Experience working across the Asia Pacific region or in a multinational organization.
  • Experience in developing HR policies, training material reviewing and updating employment terms and conditions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; problem solving and proactive service orientation.
  • An ability to exercise independent judgment and is confident to share new ideas and perspectives.
  • Experience in data and trend analysis of employment issues.
