What You Will Do

The Senior Lead Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business needs and processes and to act as a partnered liaison between the business and the technical team. Reporting to the IT Business Partner, they will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to IT, the business and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. They are responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with Canada business. They are responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams. Individuals in this position have an understanding of business processes, experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with business users at all levels in the business.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Canada's business and functional teams.

• Work closely with the Canada IT Business Partner to achieve IT team objectives and strategy.

• Collaborate with both business and technical teams to facilitate consensus on optimal solutions for business challenges and the delivery of new enhancements.

• Enhance the business analysis function through the implementation of best practices, process management, mentoring, and educational initiatives.

• Develop a deep understanding of commercial processes, encompassing sales, marketing, and related functions, and apply this knowledge to IS strategies and implementations.

• Define concrete use cases that align desired technological outcomes with commercial objectives.

• Recommend adjustments to business processes and systems to enhance efficiency and business results.

• Ensure transparent communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teams.

• Foster improvement within the business analysis function through the integration of best practices, process management, mentorship, and education.

• Foster close working relationships with Global IT Teams, including Project Management, Run Support, Deskside, Enterprise Architecture, and Shared Business Functional Analysts.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree required, in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred
  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst required.
  • Skill to collaborate and co-create with the business, along with the capability to constructively question and verify business requirements and assumptions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.
  • Experience with process mapping and building comprehensive User Requirement Specifications is required.
  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes is required.
  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders is required.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas - Supply Chain, Logistics, SFDC is considered advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements desirable.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst (BA) with a mid to large ERP system preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.
