Electrical Quality Engineer - Post Market (Hybrid)
Stryker is hiring a Electrical Quality Engineer in San Jose, California. As part of the Endoscopy Quality team, customers and patients are at the heart of everything we do. Our Quality Engineers maintain our brand of high-quality products.
Work Flexibility: Hybrid.
This role requires reasonable proximity to our Stryker facility. You should be comfortable working 3 days onsite.

What you will do
- Manage several products and be accountable for ensuring high quality and urgent customer support.
- Troubleshoot and root cause customer complaints and develop design recommendations to improve product safety, reliability, or performance. Develop, test, and implement design changes as well as coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth implementation.
- Statistically trend post-market data to help solve any technical issues that arise from the field.
- Conduct Risk Assessments by working with current product quality data, the FDA MAUDE database, and other sources to find issues with currently marketed products and assess clinical risk to customers and patients.
- Visit customer sites to observe OR workflow, surgical procedures, and products in use to support timely quality investigation support
- Be an ambassador for the customer by providing Input to new product development from post-market experience
- Support Quality Systems initiatives and non-conformances as it relates to quality product issues.
What you need
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems.
- Experience in R&D/design, design assurance, usability/human factors, quality, systems engineering, or engineering
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, root cause, and analytical skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Acute attention to detail.
$85,000 - $132,300 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
