Position Summary
The role will lead the digital transformation of the medical device manufacturing network in GQO and will be responsible for driving the digital transformation of manufacturing systems, automation systems, data analytics & visualization. This role demands a strategic visionary with a proven track record in change management, business case development, project execution, and the deployment of digital strategies. The role will shape and deliver digital initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness in the rapidly evolving landscape of medical device manufacturing.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Develop and implement a comprehensive global digital strategy aligned with organisational values, business objectives and priorities.
Build a high performing digital team and wider community to maximise value from current and emerging technologies. Shape an optimum operating model to standardise business processes, leveraged SMEs while driving consistent & sustainable solutions from decentralised project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams & senor stakeholders to identify digital opportunities and develop compelling business cases. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments for proposed digital initiatives.
Develop and maintain a long-range investment strategy to deliver digital transformation.
Lead deployment of manufacturing & automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes, supply chain, and business operations such as MES, CMMS, SPC, automation control and integration to key business systems such as ERP, PLM & PDM
Advance digital applications and data analytics capabilities, connecting data creation, ingestion & curation in a CDL, visualisation & orchestration and advanced analytics.
Engage & empower all employees in the digital journey. Advance and shape digital acumen and develop a continuous education program for all levels.
Establish and imbed a strong portfolio governance, prioritisation and deployment process for digital transformation, which adapts to business priorities ensuring delivery on-time and within cost delivery.
Partner externally to build a front-end digital innovation pipeline and maintain strong knowledge of emerging external trends in digital technology solutions.
Maximise the opportunities of digital working & augmented workforce efficiency. Lead change management to ensure successful adoption of digital technologies.
Foster collaboration between IT, Operations, Quality, NPD, procurement and Business Units to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with organizational goals.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital initiatives and regularly monitor and report performance. Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve digital solutions.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills
Third Level Qualification (minimum NFQ 8) within a Business IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
10+ years' technical systems experience in deployment of ERP, MES, CMMS...
5+ years manufacturing experience & proven track record delivering complex projects and automation systems.
5+ years minimum experience of managing a team of direct reports.
Lean Six Sigma and/or Project Management certifications desirable.
Data Science & Analytics experience desirable.
