The main responsibilities include:
Ensure that security measures implemented align with industry regulations and compliance standards.
Assist in testing and validating incident response plans and procedures. Provide recommendations and executive summaries to the management team.
Maintain detailed records and provide reports on findings, risks, and recommendations.
Evaluate and recommend security tools and solutions for improving security posture.
Collaborate with different teams to continuously refine and optimize security controls and measures.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of security controls and incident response procedures.
Coordinate and participate in security incident simulations to assess readiness and response capabilities.
Review and update security controls and incident response procedures to align with changing threats and business needs.
Work closely with other cybersecurity professionals, such as security engineers and incident responders, to ensure cohesive security measures and response procedures.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Education & special trainings:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field of technology or equivalent work experience.
At least one industry leading certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM or similar.
Qualifications & experience:
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in testing and validating the effectiveness of security controls and incident response procedures.
Minimum 4 years of experience working in multinational and culturally diverse teams, coordinating security assessments, compliance audits, and quality assurance initiatives. This includes fostering collaboration and ensuring consistent security practices and standards are upheld worldwide.
Proven knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to be able to participate and understand incident response procedures from a technical standpoint.
Hands-on experience in testing and validating incident response plans and procedures, including incident simulation exercises.
Proficiency in maintaining detailed records, generating reports on findings, and providing recommendations for improvements.
Skills in developing, tracking, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of security controls.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with other cybersecurity professionals, including security engineers, incident responders, and compliance officers, to ensure the integration of cohesive security measures.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE is desirable.
