1st shift Mon - Fri 6AM -2:30PM

As a Manufacturing Technician, your primary responsibility is to produce functional parts from digital files supplied by Stryker's engineering departments using the appropriate additive manufacturing equipment.

What you will do:

  • Communicate with design personnel the necessary input parameters for CAD models into the additive manufacturing equipment and instruct them on how and when improvements can be made.
  • Utilize the additive manufacturing computer systems to construct the build and make any required adjustments to dimensionally correct and/or cosmetically improve the end product as needed on all additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Communicate with technical support personnel at the various vendors to resolve problems or install system enhancements.
  • Perform secondary processing of components, that may include filing, metal finishing, machining, or other techniques that may be necessary to produce an end product with the required surface finish and appearance.
  • Perform daily quality testing (eg. hardness and tensile) and analyze this data to determine adjustments to the additive manufacturing machines to ensure consistent quality.
  • Work closely with upstream & downstream customers to ensure production meets demand.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

What you will need:

  • High school or GED equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
  • 1+ year experience with CAD operations including 3D design and surfacing preferred
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment, blueprint reading, and GDT preferred
  • Prior mechanical inspection or machine shop experience preferred
  • Experience/knowledge CNC programming and machining highly preferred
  • Experience in powder and support structure removal processes and equipment preferred
