STORE MANAGER

The role of the Store Manager is to provide strong, positive, and pro-active leadership to his/her team, and to be held accountable for the "total Store" activities. The Store Manager will be expected to act as a coach and facilitator in delegating and empowering his/her Perishable, Non-Perishable, and Customer Service/HR Managers to manage and be held accountable for the daily operations of their respective departments.
The Store Manager will be held accountable for providing strong, positive, and pro-active leadership to his/her team. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for total store operation, but will act as a coach and facilitator in giving more responsibility to and empowering his/her "support team" to manage the daily activities in all areas of the store, while providing direction, feedback, and holding them accountable for performance and results. The Store Manager will be responsible for compliance with all local, state and federal laws in all departments. Other responsibilities include:

Essential Skills

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
Skills and Knowledge
  • 5-7 years retail experience; store manager experience required
  • Knowledge of safe food handling Exceptional interpersonal, planning and organizing, and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and gain people's confidence
  • Must be willing to travel within core market area
