Shelton, CT

Introduction

The beautiful, gently sloping, soft sandy beach, picnic areas, train watching, diverse trail systems and salt marsh viewing platforms make the State of Connecticut, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) parks ideal for families. Try crabbing or fishing. Look for ospreys, cranes, and herons or other waterfowl. CT State Parks provide something for all members of the family.

DEEP, Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, State Parks Division, Lifeguard Program, Indian Well State Park, Shelton, CT. The park's scenic waterfall and brook give this park its name, Indian Well. The beach along the Housatonic River, and shaded picnic grove at the water's edge, make this park a great place to spend a lazy summer day.
