Responsibilities

State Farm's Digital Experience area is looking for a rock star to shine as a Content Designer. This role will provide an awesome opportunity to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment, write and develop content and content strategy as part of digital user experience, drive editorial quality for multiple product delivery teams, while adhering to digital standards and style guides to ensure design consistency across the enterprise. As a Content Designer, you will work in a fast-paced agile environment and develop thorough knowledge of company products, services, marketing strategies, and company editorial standards/practices while working side by side with designers, copy writers, researchers, and product owners to develop the best products for our customers!

In this position you will:
  • Connect products to customers through innovative content
  • Develop solutions for content presentation, including content deliverables, workflow and maintenance
  • Analyze complex ideas and communicates them in a clear and concise manner to all target audiences
  • Create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content, adhering to Search Engine Optimization best practices
  • Establish and maintain an information and content architecture that is well organized and user friendly
  • Understand and implement user-centered design best practices
  • Develop creative concepts and write SEO-rich customer-facing content, including collaboration with the design team and revisions based on input from multiple parties
  • Ensure digital products provide up-to-date and comprehensive product/service information that is easily available to existing and potential customers
  • Develop creative concepts and write SEO-rich customer facing content, collaborating with and incorporating feedback from multiple parties throughout the process
  • Leverage knowledge of State Farm and financial services products, and department goals and strategy while creating content
  • Apply knowledge of copywriting techniques and standards, public relations and design.
  • Work under general direction on assignments of greater complexity and coordination
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years working as a content strategist level, strong professional history of architecting and providing content solutions, and a master's degree or bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Authoring or other content-focused degree.
  • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skill
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Is able to work independently and receive minimal guidance
  • Possesses a working knowledge of copywriting techniques and standards, public relations, and design
  • Superior writing skills, as well as strong copy editing, proofreading and research skills
  • Understanding of legal regulations and filing requirements governing communications and content
  • Experience with information architecture, content management systems, digital asset management, and databases
  • Understands user-centered design practice
