Your Duties We are seeking a Wetland/Environmental Scientist to join our team at our various office locations including Mequon, WI, Green Bay, WI and Cottage Grove, WI offices. The ideal candidate will be assured through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Wetland Delineator Assurance Program. This person would be exceptionally talented and enthusiastic with a keen interest in the natural sciences. Duties would include delineating and characterizing wetlands and other water resources as well as conducting botanical surveys, natural community mapping, and ecological impact assessments. Other technical duties may include environmental permitting support and ecological restoration planning and assessment.

Your Capabilities and Credentials The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an environmental discipline with demonstrated experience with plant, soil, and wetland identification and characterization in the region. Preference will be given to those that have been assured through the WDNR Wetland Delineator Assurance Program. Must have at least 5 years of field experience delineating wetlands according to US Army Corps of Engineers Manual and the corresponding Regional Supplements. Project management and permitting experience are preferred. Must have a professional and academic background in wetlands, botany, or soil science. Must be comfortable with computers and Trimble GPS units.

The potential for significant travel, including extended overnight travel, is expected for this position.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively and function as part of a team. An interest in ecosystems, natural resource conservation, and the outdoors is essential. The ability to solve problems using critical thinking and practical problem solving, complete field work with consideration to their own and the team's safety, and a good sense of direction is important. A sense of humor and positive attitude in all working conditions is key.

Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening is required.
