Description:
Stantec have an exciting opportunity for a Wastewater Network Modeller to join our team in Redditch on a permanent basis.
•Experience in the modelling and design of wastewater infrastructure solutions within the water industry.
•Provide the Modelling input into asset surveys condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing and conceptual design.
•Responsibility for feasibility design, value engineering, scope definition, tender assessments, reports and recommendations.
•Produce project documentation including specifications, model outputs, data sheets, layout drawings etc.
•Produce specifications and deliverables for schemes in accordance with current legislation and standards for the scheme requirements.
•Liaise with Subcontractors and deal with technical queries.
•Using appropriate software and developing technology to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients.
•Plan, programme, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects.
•Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
•Build relationships with new clients and key stakeholders.
•Provide technical assistance to staff, including training within specific areas of responsibility and expertise as required.
•Review and co-ordinate the work of others as required.
•Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced members within the team as required.
•Complete all work in line Stantec Core Values and in accordance with Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Qualifications:
•Degree qualified (or equivalent) in relevant subject matter
•Chartered / Incorporated or equivalent (or working towards) and member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. ICE, CIWEM. Level of role will be dependent on current level of qualification.
•Experience in water industry and in particular in the design of wastewater networks and associated assets.
•Aptitude and experience with computational hydraulics and software tools, with willingness to learn.
•Knowledge of InfoWorks and other relevant network analysis systems.
•Experience of GIS for displaying and processing topographic and other environmental data would be an advantage.
•Computer skills for manipulating data, experience coding or writing scripts would be attractive.
•Ability to manage and develop projects from a brief.
•Knowledge of the planning, specification, design, procurement and commissioning of projects.
•Possess sound knowledge of current legislation and able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures.
•Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
•Understand the appropriate level of detail for different project requirements
•Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and independently
•Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and our design team - both written and oral
•Some experience of coaching and mentoring Engineers within a discipline group.
•Appropriate level of decision making for level of experience and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
•Understand the appropriate level of detail for different project requirements.
•Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and our design team - both written and oral.
•Good client service focus.
•Excellent organisational skills and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
•Must be able to plan and prioritise work load effectively
