We have seen major capital investment work given the green light across the entire UK to support economic bounce back, create new jobs and to enrich the environment. We have major clients that has been endorsed to invest in multi-million-pound projects to support the ambitious Water programs across the UK. Partnering with our clients, we are being faced with environmental challenges to develop cost effective, innovative, and creative ways of working.

With our future ways of working there is also the possibility to work on national projects which include large capital investment work within feasibility, detailed design, and design & construction - location is not always essential for this role.

To make sure we achieve our goals, we are looking for an experienced Senior Urban Drainage Modeller to join our team.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and ideally hold Chartership with an industry relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. You will have previous successful project delivery experience in an urban drainage environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage modelling activities and a full working knowledge of Infoworks ICM, MapInfo, and GIS tools.

The Senior Urban Drainage Modeller will provide guidance, training, and contribute to staff development within the discipline. You will assist with bids and the preparation of cost estimates within our project frameworks. The role will involve taking part in the planning, programming, and coordinating of urban drainage projects while ensuring technical governance and best practices are upheld. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (external and internal), and making contacts in the industry.

The successful candidate will have experience in the mentorship and development of a small team while providing technical leadership to other modelling staff in an urban drainage environment with an excellent client service focus.
