In our role as Strategic Solutions Partner, Stantec is working with Southern Water and their partners to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions for their needs. The Senior / Principal Civil Engineer will work closely with the Project Design Lead and receive support from Engineers and Assistant Engineers. The team are working on several new potable water pipelines in Hampshire as part of the wider Water for Life Hampshire program. The role will initially be undertaken via remote working, with the occasional site visit, however upon re-opening of the client offices there is the potential/likelihood for the role to be based out of Southern Water's Falmer office for a minimum number of days/wk.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or any other relevant subject. Ideally, you will be Chartered and be a member of a relevant engineering institution eg. ICE or similar and you will have 5+ years experience in major pipeline and transfer mains designs.

Drawing from your extensive experience in the water industry, you will, as part of a team, develop solutions from need to preferred option and have the ability to support and manage project team members. As well as this, you will possess experience in undertaking scoping and design within required timescales and design budgets. As well, you will understand producing and checking technical reports and preparing business case reports.
