Stantec is looking to fill a position for Senior Marketing Specialist for our Ontario North & East Region in Ottawa . This position requires a detail oriented individual with relevant background in business development, account management strategies and marketing - a team player who can lead proposal pursuit processes and teams, understand project delivery modes, communicate with conviction and manage competing priorities confidently.

Your Duties About the role:
In this role, you'll proactively support business development, help build client relationships and work with various teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives. You will prepare designed-to-win proposals and engaging presentations.

You'll be working closely with our technical project managers to create compelling messages that set our firm apart from the pack. You will work closely with key business development leaders and help execute account plans.

About you:
Combining critical thinking with business acumen, you'll look for creative ways to help us achieve our companywide and regional goals for revenue growth, profitability, and market leadership. A solid background in proposal development in a technical environment would separate you from fellow candidates.

You'll help maintain Stantec's internal systems for information management related to opportunity/lead tracking, people and projects, and promotional activity. You'll be a contributor toward Stantec's internal and external communications.

We'll look to you for local market research & analysis, assessment of opportunities, proposal strategy & development, client event coordination as well as management of conferences and tradeshows, advertising, and general collateral and communications development.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development, account management support or
  • inside/outside sales or related field
  • Marketing experience in a B2B environment an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience developing responses to detailed requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and web-based interfaces.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and also in cooperation with a larger regional team.
  • Candidate should enjoy working with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and across geographies.
  • Must thrive working assertively in a deadline-driven environment.
