Your Opportunity

The Engineering Technician will report to the Manager, based out of our Lake Mary, Fl office. As a Engineering Technician you will be responsible for designing projects, performing Protection and Control studies, protective relay settings, logics, calculations and coordination. As well as for the delivery of substation automation system for our high voltage substation projects. Responsible for project administration and delivery, document control, and client outreach for our high voltage substation projects. The Engineering Technician works within multi-disciplinary teams to assist in developing efficient and reliable substation designs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Primary facilitator of document control for key clients
  • Support the development of projects from award through closeout
  • Assist multidiscipline engineers through all project lifecycle tasks
  • Maintain project status and process reporting during design execution phases

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and recommendations that have direct impact on programs, projects,

business operations proficient with MS Office

Advanced skills with MS Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to engage internal and external clients and convey

technical knowledge

Education and Experience
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of two years of applicable work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
  • EIT preferred
  • 1-3 years of power systems experience required

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may

include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
