Stantec's Dubai office is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will participate with our interdisciplinary design team, manage assignments, provide critical urban and landscape architecture design experience, and interact with existing and prospective clients with exemplary communication skills and design acumen.
Your Duties
Working with Landscape Architects your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating conceptual visions for a variety of private and public-sector landscape architecture projects.
  • Concept design development and provide cost estimating, detail design services, contract document preparation and undertake various field services such as site inventories and construction inspection and reports
  • Management and production of project design drafting and detailing.
  • Illustration of design concepts and preparation of design reports.
  • Preparation and production of design and construction drawings and schematic illustrations
  • Design detailing in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Assisting in the preparation of schedules of quantity and cost estimates
  • Illustration of design concepts and preparation of design reports.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplined and multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to execute a project from concept through construction documentation

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university or a combination of related education and experience.
  • 5 or more years of work experience
  • A sound understanding of landscape architectural design principles, practice, work requirements, and construction methods.
  • Ability to work in a team / multidisciplinary environment;
  • Strong verbal, written & graphic communication skills;
  • Good computer skills (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel and other graphic programs);
  • Experience in urban design, sustainable design and landscape/site planning & design
  • The Landscape Architect should be self-motivated, creative and able to work under minimum level of supervision within a heavy workload environment. Have sense of defining technical problems, collect appropriate and related data to establish solutions / results
  • The ability to acknowledge a crisis and take timely corrective action
  • Ability to make mid-project corrections as business conditions change
  • High level of computer literacy

  • Applies appropriate Stantec design / technical tools and guidelines to all tasks.
  • Strives to learn and promote new CAD techniques that enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Responds appropriately to performance feedback.
  • Attends seminars, lectures, private research and reading of current design and technical literature - towards an aim of achieving professional status.
