Junior Planner - 6 month term

Your Duties: Our Saskatoon or Regina, Saskatchewan office has an opportunity for a Junior Planner for a six month term, to work as a part of our multi-disciplinary team. Upon completion of the six month term, there is a possibility for a permanent position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in planning consulting to communities and the land development industry
  • Conduct research, including municipal and provincial regulations
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating planning submissions including:
    • Concept plans
    • Subdivision and rezoning applications
  • Assist in preparing planning documents including:
    • Parks & Recreation Master Plans
    • Official Community Plans
    • Zoning Bylaws
  • Proposal writing
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, and Landscape Architects on proposals and projects
  • Assist in creating and facilitating public engagement processes

Your Capabilities and Credentials: The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in planning
  • Eligibility for full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute
  • Ability to stay organized with multiple active projects
  • Self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn
  • Ability to work in a team setting and contribute to maintaining a positive work environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of municipal approval processes
  • Familiarity of community planning in Saskatchewan
  • A valid driver's license
