About You

The successful candidate will have a degree in geography, GIS, environmental science or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an innovative and inquisitive nature, and will ideally have some knowledge of and a keen willingness to learn skills in:
  • Programming (e.g. Python, Ruby, C#, SQL...)
  • Web development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP)
  • Business intelligence (Microsoft Power BI or equivalent) and GIS (ArcGIS)
  • Data Mining/ Manipulation (FME)
  • How to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders and appreciate different perspectives.

Experience of engineering or environmental data science related analytics would be an advantage. Any evidence of the skills listed above (including examples from non-work activities or academic projects) would strengthen a candidate's application. Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.

We offer a hybrid working approach, but you must be able to attend the Edinburgh office at least 2 days per week.
