Field Technician

MWH Constructors is seeking a Field Technician to support industrial and vertical construction project work in North America. This position will be located at our Santa Clara, CA location.

MWH Constructors is growing its business in the industrial and vertical construction sectors in North America. Its strategy for this growth will see an increase in resources and capabilities across the US.

Business and contract activity associated with this initiative will include:
• Commercial and industrial building design, construction, and maintenance.
• Manufacturing facility design, construction, and management.
• General maintenance for manufacturing facilities and office campuses.

Selected individual will provide support to project management and project supervision staff to ensure construction work is performed efficiently, on schedule and in accordance company policy and appropriate construction standards.


Provide support to Project Superintendent and Project Manager including:
• Work Package development
• Layout assistance
• Material and Subcontractor Procurement
• Submittal Review Assistance
• Manpower scheduling
• Quantity takeoffs
• Labor Productivity Reporting
• Document Controls
• Material purchases, deliveries and inventory

Assist in resolving construction problem/issues.

Assist with layout and provide necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.

Research; support resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.

Help verify all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.

Help prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as RFI responses, change directives, material and equipment submittals, status reports, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisor.

May provide support and direction of project material control functions including implementation and operation of maintenance program.

Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.


• Prior applicable field construction experience.
• Possess working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline desirable.
• Interfaces and communicates effectively with others.
