Director US Core Water

MWH Constructors, a nationally recognized heavy civil construction company, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as our Director of US Core Water, responsible for $500M+ in annual revenues. This position will be based out of our Broomfield, Colorado corporate office and report to the President of MWH Constructors.

The Director will be responsible for overall operations management for existing projects with several different delivery models, while also developing and guiding new business opportunities throughout the U.S. The Director will make decisions and recommendations that will greatly affect profitability of U.S. operations and will take accountability for providing leadership, strategy and direction with primary responsibility for project delivery and sustained growth. The Director will need to show a proven history of successfully managing all types of project delivery methods including: self-perform, hard bid, CMAR, design build, progressive design build, etc.

Essential Functions
1.Assure all employees follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
2.Establish U.S. operations objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
3.Assure that all projects executed by staff incorporate the set objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards set.
4.Monitor project delivery through direction of Regional Managers and Project Managers to ensure every project is built on schedule and within budget.
5.Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
6.Monitor financial aspects of contracts; e.g. fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc. Work with Regional Managers and Project Managers to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with clients.
7.Assure that all projects executed by staff incorporate the project planning techniques prescribed by the management administration plan. Provide appropriate input and review as required.
8.Assure projects are staffed with the appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives within the company profit model.
9.Partner with MWH's business development and marketing teams in business development, client relations, and marketing, pursuit and project bid activities.
10.Grow backlog across all market sectors we serve; initiate, develop and maintain liaison with clients to develop relationships and win new work.
11.Be an integral part of the risk management process and reviews.
12.Work closely with all members of the constructors leadership team, including all support functions (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Risk, Contracts, and Commercial etc.).



Qualifications

1.B.S. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related degree.
2.20+ years' experience, knowledge and demonstrated success in program/construction management experience with large and small scale projects including all delivery methods in the U.S.
3.Background in water/wastewaster treatment plants highly preferred.
4.Professional registration (PE) and/or Construction/project management certification (CCM/PMP) highly desired.
5.Results-oriented professional with proven ability to develop effective strategies, set target goals, and execute plans to meet financial and organization objectives.
6.Understanding of how to mitigate commercial risk to enhance opportunities for successful business and project performance.
7.Must have integrity and strong sense of ethical standards with a reputation of conducting business fairly and honestly.
8.Strong executive presence and personnel management skills with the ability to set direction, align and motivate others to achieve excellence.
9.Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional interpersonal skills at all levels.
10.Strong sales and negotiation skills.
11.Effective communication skills, both written and oral; will be required to conduct presentations.
12.Effective computer skills including project management, spreadsheets, Prolog, and presentation software.
13.A strong record of safety and a commitment to the value of safety measures.
