Sales Executive, Enterprise (Central US)

The Stack Overflow for Enterprise team helps large software teams build better, faster, and easier by equipping them with Stack Overflow’s unique and industry-leading solution for developer enablement, Stack Overflow for Enterprise. Sales Executives are mid-level, experienced “quota carrying” salespeople on the Enterprise team. These representatives are responsible for driving revenue, along with developing and nurturing relationships with key accounts and partners. Reports to the Director of Sales, Enterprise. The primary purpose of the position is to:

  • Develop relationships with a set number of key strategic accounts within a geographic region
  • Work with ASE & SDRs to complete the account map/blueprint map-out and buying processes through the development of relationships at prospect accounts
  • Work with ASE to build strategies to trigger, drive and engage opportunities based on specific client pain points and needs
  • Provide feedback and viewpoint from the customer and sales team to help improve the Stack Overflow Enterprise product and business
  • Work closely and in alignment with Customer Success team to ensure successful deployments and continued account growth

What you’ll do:

  • Solid understanding and foundation in the software industry and how large software teams/companies work
  • Expert in Stack Overflow platform and our position within the global developer community
  • Strong communicator able to work across teams and departments
  • Able to craft strong messages and stories that connect clients to the Stack Overflow Enterprise solution

What you’ll need to have:

  • Experienced sales person that excels on small and growing teams.  Not afraid of, and able to adjust seamlessly to, selling products in flux
  • Ability to forecast and manage pipeline efficiently
  • Prior experience with strategic/enterprise accounts
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting using MS-Excel, Salesforce and BI Tools
  • Requires at least 3 years of applicable sales experience, ideally in enterprise and/or software sales
  • Passionate about the Stack Overflow story and our global connection to developers and ways that we can help them learn, share and level up
  • Strong room presence at the VP level
