Technical Program Manager - Product

Squarespace is looking for an experienced technical program manager to work with an engineering team in developing an exciting new line of business for Squarespace. This new line of business interfaces with third parties, and involves complex requirements around business process.

If you have worked in cross-functional environments with experience in helping engineering teams map complex third party requirements, controls, and processes, to implementable features in software, we would like to talk. You should have experience helping engineering teams manage deadlines, planning roadmaps, and play an active role in the application development life cycle. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on program management for cross-functional infrastructure and software engineering teams covering a range of areas, throughout all project lifecycle phases

  • Ensure that clear, accurate, relevant information on major efforts is available to stakeholders on-demand. Foster open communication among all project stakeholders and team members

  • Perform risk management and change management for projects. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks

  • Lead project team meetings, as needed, and develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure timely delivery

  • Engage with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure proper project definition, kick-off, and monitoring

  • Understand company or business unit strategy and goals and to use them as guiding principles when influencing a project and propel constant internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in Program Management and/or Project Management.

  • An innate desire to bring definition and organization to any situation encountered

  • Proven ability to work directly with highly technical engineering teams and management

  • Solid understanding of relevant technologies; an ability to explain the architectures of main systems in previous roles

  • JIRA expertise is a big plus

  • Professional experience in regulated industries / audited environments a plus. Familiarity with SAS 70 / SSAE 16 / SSAE 18 also a plus
