HR Business Partner

Squarespace is looking for a HR Manager to spearhead the People initiatives in our Dublin office. You will partner closely with the Dublin leadership team to scale its talent strategy and operations as we continue to build a world-class customer support and product presence in EMEA. On the day-to-day, you will manage employee relations, coach our leaders, and make a meaningful impact in the areas of organizational development, compensation, performance management, culture setting, and more. In this role, you will be empowered to zoom out and keep considerable, strategic focus on optimizing for growth and retention.

This role reports into our Director, EMEA Operations and will receive exceptional support and collaboration from your colleagues in the broader People Team (located in New York City and Portland, Oregon) on initiatives to cultivate and strengthen our unique culture and people practices. You will also be responsible for managing our Dublin based Payroll & Benefits Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a trusted advisor in all sensitive HR areas such as employee relations, investigations, leaves of absences and compensation
  • Coach managers on performance management, feedback, employee development and career pathing
  • Act as a Business Partner to the Customer Operations organization and lend support to local team initiatives
  • Lead compensation reviews in Dublin and lend your expertise as it relates to our compensation philosophy and practices in Dublin
  • Work closely with the Managing HR Business Partner in New York to ensure that communication and processes across all offices remain consistent and seamless
  • On-board new Dublin employees: create employee files (physical & digital) and lead the HR Operations section of new hire orientation
  • Maintain all employee records and the data integrity of our HRIS for all Dublin employees
  • Draft employee lifecycle documentation (i.e. promotion/relocation memos, agreements, and disclosures)
  • Work with our Global Payroll & Benefits team to plan quarterly wellness events in Dublin
  • Develop and lead People Team initiatives focusing on retention, engagement, recognition and talent management
  • Partner with the Training & Development Team to develop manager and team trainings focused on development, culture and career progression
  • Collaborate with the People Relations Team to accelerate a culture of innovation and development while providing employees and managers the tools they need to be successful
  • Partner with the Recruiting Team on strategic headcount planning, identifying critical roles and succession planning for Dublin
  • Play a proactive and integral part in discussing, designing and rolling out major global People Team projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of working experience as an HR professional
  • A proven track record in strong business partnering and collaboration with business leaders in a fast moving, customer service environment
  • Third level degree qualification in HR or related field required
  • Thorough understanding of Irish employment law
  • A solid understanding of benefits & payroll practices
  • A consistent record of successfully working on complicated Employee Relations issues
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and draft written content for company-wide distribution
  • Demonstrated solution focused thinking, empathy and strong decision making skills
  • CIPD certification a plus
