As Lead Program Manager for External Requests, you will build out and maintain the company’s external request responses program (XRQ). You will develop program strategy to receive external requests, delegate those requests to the appropriate internal subject matter experts,  notify requisite leadership regarding the request, track the status of response timelines in manner accessible to key stakeholders, provide centralized visibility for cash management, route for review and quality assurance and ensure timely delivery of request responses. This role also may require individual project management.  

You will:

  • Develop and execute a program to manage the intake, delegation of, and response to third party requests, including requests from regulatory bodies and partners  
  • Develop and execute standards for intake and responses to each class of external requests
  • Develop and execute a program to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all responses to external requests
  • Strategically partner with multiple internal teams including Product, Legal, Compliance, Data Science, and Customer Operations, among others
  • Manage individual projects by coordinating directly with the company’s internal data teams
  • Drive development of our new PMO, including developing and mentoring team members
  • Drive consistency and improvement in program management processes and tools for the XRQ team and partner teams (both horizontal layer across all programs, and vertically within individual external request programs)
  • Participate in long term team strategy, program management and prioritization, project & program management, and team leadership
Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience
  • Experience leading program and/or project teams
  • Experience building successful large-scale programs 
  • Highly organized with the ability to own multiple, concurrent tasks to completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also to lead others in the completion of important tasks
  • Experience working with program management tools

Even better:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • Experience in responding to federal, state and global regulatory inquiries
  • Experience in responding to key partner inquiries
  • Experience in reviewing audit conclusions and managing recommended changes to business programs
  • Experience in the consumer financial services industry 
  • Experience working with multinational teams


Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.



Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000

Zone B: USD $174,900 - USD $213,700

Zone C: USD $165,700 - USD $202,500

Zone D: USD $156,400 - USD $191,200
