The Opportunity
Springboard has seen incredible growth over the last 4 years. We’re looking for a data-driven, customer-focused VP of Marketing to craft compelling GTM strategies, build a compelling brand experience that positions us in the category, generate demand, and drive all acquisition initiatives.

Marketing is essential to the company’s growth, so you will own aggressive goals. You’ll set strategy, but you’ll also roll up your sleeves. You’ll lead, mentor, and grow our small, capable team of versatile growth marketers that need a strategic leader.

You’ll be a part of the company leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.


  • Define a winning strategy and oversee execution for all aspects of marketing and growth — including branding, positioning, product marketing, email and content strategy, user acquisition, and enrollment numbers
  • Customer segmentation: further Springboard’s understanding of our customer needs, motivations, and choices, and ensure that decision-making relies on data and research about customer personas, segments, and behaviors
  • Own and improve our entire marketing tech stack
  • Own and allocate the marketing budget across tools, people, and channels
  • Lead our culture of data-driven experimentation, working with the team to optimize existing channels and funnels; discover and test new ones; prioritize and implement experiments; and oversee instrumentation and attribution
  • Manage all functions of the marketing team; continually assess, hire and scale the organization as necessary
  • Lead the charge (eventually alongside Biz Dev) on driving the company's revenue growth to 10x its current scale


  • bring 8+ years of demonstrated success; bonus points if your goals have been explicitly tied to revenue growth at a fast growing company
  • have experience with nearly every aspect of the marketing stack
  • have managed and coached high performers
  • bring an exceptional understanding of paid and organic user acquisition channels, with experience scaling at least one
  • think from first principles, by putting yourself in the customer’s shoes
  • are analytical, strategic, able to prioritize, and comfortable betting on bold experiments
  • have exceptional communication skills
  • are comfortable getting your hands dirty and implementing your own ideas when needed
  • know how to use the product as a growth lever, though you’re not expecting to do so
  • are passionate about improving education and seriously committed to helping build an organization from the ground up, even if things aren’t always easy
