Regional Sales Manager, DHS (Federal Civilian)

Role:

We are looking for an expert Enterprise Software Sales representative to focus on our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client at Splunk. You have sales experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. You are a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against an account plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

You will use your sales experience and connections in this vertical to close multi-million dollar deals with this customer. You are a self-starter and you will execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. You will bring your innovation to the table to help close more deals with this customer.

You possess both a sales and sufficient technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with security analysts, software developers and IT architects. You are strong and a creative thinker who thrives in a multi-team environment and adopts all aspects of selling. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embrace change.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8+ years of software sales experience (all 8 years within DHS a plus)
  • 5 + years of direct enterprise software/SaaS sales to federal customers a must
  • 3+ years of current Federal Civilian sales experience a must; experience selling to the DHS (CBP, FEMA, experience a plus)
  • You come with C Suite contacts within DHS
  • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
  • Hard worker and a top sales performance and knowledge of Federal sales and closed 6-7 figure deals (and reputation /customer credibility to back it up)
  • Comfort with an enterprise and transactional sales model
  • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior sales business manager level
  • High creativity and the capacity to multitask
  • Excellent forecasting, prospecting, qualifying, closing skills and ability to build strong partner relationships
  • Experience selling Cloud solutions
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
  • Secret clearance preferred but not required
  • Location: Live in the D.C. area

Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges are guidelines and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

OTE Pay Ranges

For sales roles the ranges are expressed as On Target Earning or OTE (OTE = base + incentives in the form of sales incentive plans).

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

On Target Earnings: $256,000.00 - 352,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), New York (excludes NYC Metro Area), and all other states.

On Target Earnings: $244,000.00 - 335,500.00 per year
