Analyst, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice
Founded in 1956, Spencer Stuart is one of the largest privately-held global executive search firms, specializing in senior-level executive search, board of director appointments and leadership advisory services. Across its 56 offices in 30 countries, Spencer Stuart has a professional team of approximately 600 search Consultants and Associates.
As a private firm, we pride ourselves on fostering a special culture, which is both highly collegial and non-hierarchical – one in which intelligence, insight, excellence, responsiveness, humor, global spirit and interpersonal skills are highly valued.
Representing over 15% of Spencer Stuart's worldwide client base, our Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice consists of industry specialists who have conducted over 4,000 senior-level executive searches over the past five years.
We have over 25 dedicated search consultants in North America with longstanding, personal relationships with the most sought-after leaders in the technology sector. These carefully nurtured relationships - combined with our global database that includes information on more than 1.5 million executives - afford us immediate access to the talent we seek.
Our consultants’ and associates’ in-depth knowledge and access to the world's leading talent, acquired during years of senior-level executive experience in the industry, is the foundation for our unmatched results. In this new era of mobilization and digitalization, technology companies need access to the brightest, most trustworthy executives with extensive international experience and solid relationship-building skills. Our clients rely on us to introduce them to outstanding executives from around the world.
Business & Professional Services (BPS) Practice
A subsector within the TMT practice is BPS which consists of individuals with strong backgrounds in management consulting and professional services who bring firsthand knowledge of the sectors they serve and the best talent in those areas.
In the last three years, the BPS practice has conducted nearly 800 executive searches (senior executives and board members) for clients ranging from the largest global providers to highly specialized boutiques specializing in strategy operations, specialty consulting, business process outsourcing, accounting services and other cross-industry business-to-business services.
The TMT/BPS analyst is responsible for producing industry and/or functional analysis reports in support of search engagements, internal meetings and new business initiatives. This includes competitive information, trends across sub-sectors and target company list development. The analyst provides analysis and conclusions to be incorporated into client-ready documents. Over time, it is expected that the analyst will develop industry expertise by maintaining an awareness of industry trends and “best in class” leaders/future leaders.
This is a full time role and will ideally be based in Spencer Stuart’s Boston or Washington DC office.
We are eager to hear from recent graduates (1-2 years of work experience) or members of the Class of 2018 interested in exploring professional services opportunities within the field of executive search. Applicants should have majored in liberal arts, business, or related fields of study and evince general well-roundedness, including significant leadership experience. A 3.5+ GPA is desired.

Outstanding candidates will have demonstrated a passion and ability for performing critical research and communicating their findings clearly and cogently. They will be graceful under pressure, enjoy fast paced environments, and be excellent multitaskers.
