Summary:

Responsible for directing all delivery activities to and from specific destinations; assists fuel transport drivers as needed and collaborates with internal partners to ensure all deliveries are made in a safe, timely and efficient manner

Responsibilities :

  • Dispatches and arranges schedules for drivers and vehicles; assign driver routes, destinations and timelines
  • Coordinates with drivers to resolve any issues, problems, or concerns that arise during delivery
  • Dispatches drivers in a systematic order to ensure there is no overlapping or backtracking of routes
  • Collaborates with stores and advises of drivers' schedules; addresses any concerns or route changes
  • Records bill of ladings for incoming drivers; ensures correct locations are receiving products
  • Reviews reports to identify priority for deliveries to ensure that locations have an adequate supply of petroleum products
  • Answers and responds to incoming calls related to fuel outages at stores; works with internal partners to resolve issues
  • Maintains working knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Provides timely communication of critical events that need to be considered and/or addressed by Management
  • Completes departmental reporting as needed
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management


Minimum Requirements

Education Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED

Skill Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
  • Knowledge of fuel tanker operations
  • E xcellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
  • Strong organization and collaborative skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service
  • G ood understanding of intra-department functions and operations
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
