Summary:

Analyzes and evaluates the performance of multiple locations. Evaluates audit results both current and historical and works with Store Management to develop action plans to facilitate control of company assets and increase store profitability.

Responsibilities :

  • Accounts for all light product and merchandise inventory, evaluates current and historic data, considers the cause and effect of the historic activity, and develops an action plan for increased profitability and minimizing of loss without jeopardizing sales through better control techniques
  • Analyzes and evaluates that all required accounting records meet company policy and/or applicable local and federal laws. Evaluates the current policy and procedure compliances at store level and considers the cause and effect of historic activity. Develops a plan with store personnel to improve results
  • Advises and trains store management in the proper way to evaluate shift analysis reports, manage most effective positioning of merchandise in the store, analyze cash and discrepancy reports, and assists in investigating potential fraud by employees
  • Performs Fixed Asset Audits at the direction of Accounting. Works with the Accounting group in documenting and communicating all of the capital assets of each store location
  • Performs random Eby Brown Audits at the direction of Marketing by counting the merchandise delivered per the respective Eby Brown invoice
  • Performs label audits at a sampling of stores at the direction of the Auditing and Inventory Management Manager to detail the accuracy of the prices between the POS price and the posted label price
  • Analyzes and evaluates audit frequencies within the given audit district. Determines and recommends audit frequency and audit type to Management
  • Creates and/or develops new programs and/or policies as it relates to loss control to better handle store specific issues
  • Determines that all company funds are accounted for and that each store is complying with the company's policies and procedures in the areas of money handling and security
  • Determines and performs further training needs for store personnel on audit procedures and programs in an effort to facilitate inventory control
  • Completes required corporate documentation pertaining to the current audit of the company assets. Identifies areas of concern and determines how best to resolve issues. Communicates results of current audit of company assets to appropriate Management
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Minimum Requirements

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience

Skill Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
  • E xcellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
  • Strong analytical skill in order to interpret data and related information
  • G ood understanding of intra-department functions and operations
  • Maintains confidentiality on all analysis or data seen within the department
  • Available to travel and work both day/night shifts as needed
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
