Talent Acquisition Specialist


Regular Full Time


  • Degree in Information Technologies/Computer Sciences or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge/experience with an HRIS system

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a talent acquisition environment or equivalent

  • Related degree or Human Resources/Talent Acquisition certification preferred

  • Experience in residential property management and/or hospitality environment preferred

  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established SMC/CSC procedures, ensuring confidentiality and safety of all physical and electronic data
  • Primary responsibility for administration of the applicant tracking system and all related tasks
  • Recruit for assigned positions and participate in recruiting events as assigned
  • Assist with applicant calls, assessment lab visits, scheduling and screening interviews
  • Assist hiring managers with navigation of requisitioning, interviewing and onboarding procedures
  • Assist hiring managers and internal applicants by tracking Promotion-Transfer Request Forms during 90day active period, highlighting additional job opportunities for SMC team members
  • Manage SMC and PEOPLE/CSC intranet/careers pages, and external career and social media websites as assigned
  • Primary responsibility for tracking and reporting recruitment analytical/statistical metrics
  • Facilitate recruitment and performance management-related classes as appropriate
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks, projects, classes and objectives as needed in a timely fashion
  • Secondary responsibility for maintaining federal/state required posting bulletin board
  • Support administrative objectives in Corporate-Maryland suite by providing reception coverage for the office coordinator as scheduled/needed
  • Comply with all Southern Management's policies and procedures
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Director

Skills Required

  • Strong interpersonal business and presentation skill
  • Advanced in computer skills and software, including Microsoft products
  • Advanced data processing skills, including proficiency in use of Access database program as it relates to job responsibilities with 60 days of training
  • Strong, accurate keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work well with team members and applicants
  • Ability to receive and follow direction with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of interviewing techniques
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws
