Hotel Sales Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of room attendants, house persons, and inspectors insuring that all standards are met each day
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate and coach the housekeeping team, resolving problems and recommending corrective actions as needed
  • Arrange team work schedules, insuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects
  • Manage department payroll records insuring pay is accurate and on time
  • Ensure guests have the best possible experience by trouble-shooting and resolving all housekeeping-related concerns
  • Manage the department budget
  • Maintain and review computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeeping team
  • Orders supplies for the department based on forecasting for the monthly inventory
  • Work collaboratively with other managers and teams to analyze and improve work processes


  • 3-5 years hotel experience, preferably in a housekeeping environment
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Knowledge of/proficiency with Roommaster, Seriousware, Visual One, Delphi or similar hospitality software
