Hotel Executive Meeting Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Negotiate guest room rates and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines
  • Accurately produce and review all sales contracts, and rate agreements
  • Build creative menus, mindful of food and labor costs, and kitchen capabilities
  • Coordinate special menu needs with Director and Executive Chef
  • Confirm event related information with client and share with all departments in a timely manner
  • Obtain guarantees of F&B events for banquets and kitchen, advising of any great deviation in number
  • Create floor plans for the best use of space for each event and to ensure banquet and client are in agreement prior to set up as needed
  • Yield guest room and meeting space daily to ensure optimum potential
  • Actively prospect & qualify new business
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients
  • Participate in appropriate organizations, networking events, and attend trade shows per market segment
  • Regularly attend industry meetings/networking events to obtain new business, be aware of industry trends, etc.
  • Produce monthly sales related reports & sales forecasts


  • 3 years demonstrated sales experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree in relevant field preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry systems and software -- accounting, Roommaster, Seriousware, Visual One, Delphi, Meeting Matrix, etc., preferred
