Hotel Banquet Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads team in providing exceptional guest services in preparation, during and following events
  • Interviews, selects, schedules, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates the performance of the Banquet team
  • Supervises and assists with the setup of function rooms according to event order specifications
  • Visually inspects function rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness and accurate setup
  • Coordinates with the Culinary, Catering Sales and Banquet teams to ensure timely execution of events
  • Prepares banquet re-caps with accuracy for the Night Auditor to post
  • Prepares the month end re-cap for Accounting
  • Completes month end inventory


  • 3 years demonstrated Banquet experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word. Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry systems and software -- accounting, Roommaster, Seriousware, Visual One, Delphi, Meeting Matrix, etc., preferred
