Trick question. =) The ideal candidate for the Building Manager position must be able to provide LEGENDARY Customer Service! As Building Manager you are responsible for the operation and occupancy of one of the buildings at the community. Your focus and priority number one is Resident Satisfaction. Getting high grades for this is a difficult task but you would do it easily through building relationships with residents and maintaining the physical asset.

As a Building Manager at Southern, a typical day could include:
• Supervising grounds, maintenance and cleaning personnel
• Routine property, building and turnover inspections to maintain a quality product
• Coordinate the resident retention program
• Resolving Resident Concerns
• Monitoring work orders, preventive maintenance schedule, and inventory control system
• Conducting the on-site rent collections and write-off
• Participating in community events (external and internal)

You bring:
• High school diploma or GED
• Customer service experience
• Ability to keep accurate and neat records and files
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to handle emergency situations with poise and sensitivity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office® Suite
• Knowledge and understanding of general lease terms, community policies and procedures.
• High level of written and oral communication skills

Extra awesome if you have:
• Previous experience with Yardi
• Knowledge and experience in maintaining physical assets
