About the Role:

  • Fantastic opportunity to join the group that is advancing SoundHound's core technologies
  • Develop high impact on-device audio processing software for our comprehensive AI platform with a potential to reach 2 billion end users
  • Create a cross-platform library for client-side audio handling
  • Write platform-agnostic software
  • Work with diverse audio platforms and hardware
  • Stay up to date with the state-of-the-art in client-side audio processing techniques

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Expertise in echo cancellation, beam-forming, and noise cancellation techniques
  • Expertise in digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Proficient in C and C++
  • Ability to write clean code
  • Excellent with algorithms and data structures
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Familiarity with MATLAB or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with shell scripts as well as Python or Perl

Nice to Haves:

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with compiler design
  • Experience working with various build systems
  • Experience with device drivers
  • Experience working with hardware
