Sales Assistant Frontline Telephone Representative

The Sales Assistant Frontline Telephone Representative’s primary function is to perform customer service duties including responding to all initial borrower inquiries; including telephone, secure chat, website, overflow and/or email correspondence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer questions regarding applying online at SoFi.com
  • Direct customers to website for questions regarding products and pricing
  • Routing callers to licensed Mortgage Loan Originator when needed
  • Follow general mortgage customer service scripts
  • Check general mortgage voice mail box and return calls promptly or direct to appropriate party
  • Make outbound phone calls on fail credit pulls and obtain needed information to move application forward
  • Copy all mortgage inquiries and process communications to SoFi proprietary systems
  • Order soft pull credit reports as needed
  • Assist with Tri-Merge credit report ordering at MLO direction
  • Cross train on other support roles within Sales/Operations and fill in as necessary


  • Excellent communication and telephone customer service skills
  • Excellent general computer skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel and on multiple screens.
  • Ability work in very fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently after given clear direction
  • Knowledge of general Mortgage lending systems, products and underwriting preferred
