Mortgage Post Closer

The Mortgage Post-Closer is responsible for the review and verification of closed loan packages to ensure that the loans are accurate, complete and compliant and in accordance with industry guidelines. Experience closing in NY required

  • Review closed loan packages for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify closed loan packages and meet investor guidelines when applicable
  • Prepare closed loan credit and collateral packages for delivery to investors
  • Communicate with settlement agents, MLO’s, and other counter-parties to obtain missing information and documentation for the closed loan package
  • Ensure loan packages are stacked and imaged to industry guidelines.
  • Suggest ways to improve the post-closing process as well as the ability to identify patterns and practices to improve our business practices and communicate same to Underwriting
  • Ensure files are compliant and regulator review/exam ready
  • Excellent communication skills to interact, support, articulate and/or rebut questions regarding SoFi’s interpretation of a credit decision to third parties


  • Minimum of two to three years mortgage loan processing experience
  • Experience closing in NY required
  • Knowledge and experience with industry standard operating systems
  • Basic underwriting, product knowledge and comfort with mortgage terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • College degree desired. High school diploma or GED required
