SoFi is hiring a Mortgage Appraisal Coordinator to join our mortgage team. This role supports the Operations and Sales teams in all aspects of the appraisal ordering process. The Appraisal Coordinator successfully organizes, prioritizes and monitors operational flow for all real estate appraisals. In compliance with regulatory guidelines, the Appraisal Coordinator develops effective relationships with our designated AMC’s and maintains procedures to ensure timely receipt of accurate appraisals meeting SoFi needs.

Position requires a basic knowledge of real estate appraisal process and USPAP. Knowledge of secondary market appraisal requirements a plus. Candidates must possess attention to detail, ability to manage competing deadlines, strong organizational and professional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prior to appraisal order, ensure loans have met eSign act requirements for eConsent and all initial disclosures have been signed and returned.
  • Properly document Intent to Proceed has been provided and meets regulatory requirements
  • Order appraisals, reconsiderations of value and any amended reports
  • Monitor and manage communications between Appraisal Vendors and staff to ensure timely delivery
  • Upload completed appraisals, invoice documentation and appraisal receipts into systems
  • Ensure Input/correct fees and other required data for disclosure requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous mortgage lending experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Solid computer and data entry skills with Math aptitude
  • Time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize based on required turn times and work priorities that fluctuate daily
  • Team player that is willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Willingness to learn additional tasks as needed
  • Experience with Encompass and/or Google Chrome is a plus
  • Overtime could be required
