Manager, Mortgage Operations

SoFi is seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations / Underwriting Manager who is passionate about the mortgage business and has the skills and experience to lead a team to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building out an in-house mortgage customer service and underwriting operation to serve SoFi’s new mortgage business line. You will leverage your existing knowledge of the mortgage origination and underwriting processes, as well as third party vendors (law firms, property valuation specialists, servicers) to architect SoFi’s operations and underwriting infrastructure. Your primary responsibility is building out this operations, processing and underwriting functions and then ultimately supervising mortgage originations at or ahead of target while delivering an outstanding customer experience. Appropriate candidates will have 5+ years of mortgage processing experience with a strong knowledge of the existing Australian mortgage landscape, as well as of mortgage underwriting including review and approval processes, income documentation (both standard wage earner and complex / self-employed), responsible lending, and property / collateral valuation. Candidates with non-bank lending experience preferred, but not required.
