Manager, SMB Sales Strategy

We are looking for a Manager, SMB Sales Strategy to join Snap Inc. This role will help set and drive strategies that translate SMB organization’s segment-based plans into effective GTM roadmaps via the outsourced sales organization. Acting as the connective tissue between SMB Programs and SMB Sales teams, this leader will ultimately be responsible for global programs’ success by providing central sales strategy, guidance, and input to both the teams. Starting out as a player coach role, this person will assess long term needs and drive the business plan for growth in ‘22 and beyond, including talent, hiring, tooling and international expansion.

The ideal candidate brings experience in direct SMB sales roles, including in managing revenue targets, and understands best practices in rolling out centrally led sales programs. They will have a proven track record in problem solving, scaling, and driving sales excellence. And, excel at influencing cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, operations, and data analytics, often in different timezones. 

What you’ll do:

  • Drive programs’ success, in terms of incremental revenue and advertiser growth, by ensuring sales best practices are developed and incorporated effectively. 

  • Be the connective tissue between SMB Programs and SMB Sales teams. Own communications, playbooks, feedback loops and be jointly accountable for sales metrics & KPIs.

  • In partnership with the Manager, Vendor Sales, optimize all aspects and workflows pertaining to sales programs, via alignment with SMB Sales, SMB Programs, SMB Marketing, and SMB Ops teams. 

  • Be accountable for sales enablement, including content, messaging, proof points and customer success stories. Leverage and influence roadmaps of partner teams such as enablement and marketing in this regard.

  • Develop business plans, customer and sales insights, to inform future iterations of SMB programs.

  • Establish performance measurement criteria and KPIs as needed.

  • Drive communication and influence a broad range of stakeholders including executives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience developing sales strategies and playbooks for launching new products or programs, especially into SMB or high-growth consumer areas

  • High comfort with and passion for data driven decision making 

  • Experience simplifying complexity and effectively communicating with business and technical executives, as well as external stakeholders

  • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and ability to multitask. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity

  • Experience or familiarity in working with the media or digital advertising industry

  • Ability to influence and drive change among partner teams and leadership, in service of building new approaches and shifting the daily behaviors of a team

  • Proficiency in presentation skills and comfort presenting to and communicating with senior leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years experience in sales, marketing, operations, services, or product marketing.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to launch new products / programs and drive results, in a rigorous KPI-driven setting.

  • Proven track record in problem solving, analytical thinking, and driving strategies that are data-driven and people-informed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in SMB-facing sales and GTM roles, preferably a major/minor combination in Sales and Marketing.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and passion about fast-paced change.

  • Experience launching complex and scaled sales programs, including owning projects, metrics, and best practices.

  • 3+ years of people management experience, preferably in sales or marketing.

  • Passion for structured problem solving, developing / testing hypotheses, and modeling.

  • Passion for change, Snapchat, and creativity!
